When creating your outdoor living space, think about key design elements. These elements play a huge role in design believe it or not and without proper consideration, your new space could become crowded, cramped and awkward to maneuver in:

      • SHAPE - A shape is a specific area of a geometric or organic form. This could be your patio, porch, or entire backyard space.

 

 

      • LINE - Line can be recognized by the edge created when two shapes meet like a wall or built in bench. SIZE - Size is the area occupied by one shape to that of another.

      • COLOR - Color is the element of art that is produced when light, striking an object, is reflected back to the eye.

 

Talk these elements over with your contractor or an architect to get a professional idea of how these elements will affect how you and your guest perceive your outdoor space.
